Early Bird Fee Extension for 2014 Sacred Water Circle Gathering
Peterborough, Ont (March 17, 2014) Early Bird Registration will be extended for the 2014 Sacred Water Circle Gathering being held in Peterborough from May 2nd to 4th. The extensions of the Early Bird Rates are in honor of World Water Week and will go until March 24, when rates will increase. Those interested in attending the three-day event are asked to register by visiting www.sacredwater.ca.
The 2014 Gathering features Indigenous Elders and Traditional Teachers from around North and South America. Organizers have confirmed the attendance of representatives from the Hopi Nation of Arizona, the Deline Dene First Nation, Chief Arvol Looking Horse of South Dakota and People of the Earth (formerly the Kogi) who reside in Columbia and Grandmother Josephine Mandamin.
The registration fee for the three-day event is on a pay what you can basis ranging from $200 to 300 which includes all events, meals and refreshments, and activities. Full registration information can be found at sacredwater.ca. You can also register in person by visiting the GreenUP Store at 378 Aylmer Street in Peterborough. Registration closes April 18th. It is recommended that you register early as registration numbers are limited.
2014 marks the third year for the Gathering, which honors the sacredness of water with ceremony, traditional Indigenous teachings, and interactive dialogue between industry, scientists, professors, water professionals and the general public. This dynamic event will also feature vendors, an art exhibit, film screening and performing arts.
